Portland Junior Pirates

SACO, ME - The Maine Hockey Group, LLC, parent company for both the Portland Junior Pirates hockey organization and Southern Maine's newest ice facility, the MHG Ice Centre (web page - COMING SOON) is excited to announce that their new facility in Saco (Exit #36 / 15 Lund Rd.) is closing in on an open date. The group expects to be utilizing the building by the middle of December, barring any unforeseen delays. See construction photos below.

Over the next week, the dasher boards and scoreboard will be installed, ice will be made, insulation will be added, and most remaining construction needs will be completed.

If Phase I of the complex, which is the MHG Ice Centre, is ready to be opened to the general public by the middle of this month, then ice blocks will be available to rent and the facility intends to host various holiday skill programs and public skating sessions.
